Industrial Hemp Program

In 2014, the Nebraska Legislature proposed and adopted NebRevStat. § 2-5701 providing for the growth and cultivation of industrial hemp for purposes of research, conducted under an agricultural pilot program or other agricultural or academic research by a post-secondary institution or the Department of Agriculture.  Accompanying regulations were promulgated by the Department and adopted in June 2015.
